Partly-printed vellum DS as president, one page, 14.75 x 19.75, August 26, 1850. President Fillmore appoints Isaac S. K. Reeves as a “Captain in the First Regiment of Artillery in the service of the United States.” Signed at the conclusion by Fillmore and countersigned by Secretary of War Charles M. Conrad. The crisply embossed white paper seal affixed to the upper left remains fully intact. In fine condition, with intersecting folds (one vertical fold passing through a single letter of the signature), expected document wear, and overall writing a shade or two light. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
