William Lloyd Garrison

Journalist, editor, and social reformer (1805–1879) best known as one of the most influential abolitionists in the decades leading up to the Civil War. Original 2.5 x 4 carte-de-visite three-quarter-length portrait of Garrison posing with his hand in his coat, signed in the lower border in black ink, “Wm. Lloyd Garrison.” Published by C. Seaver, Jr., of Boston. In fine condition, with slight wear and toning to edges. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
