Lucretia Mott

Reformer (1793–1880) active in the Underground Railroad and the first president of the American Equal Rights Association. Uncommon 2.5 x 3.75 carte-de-visite bust portrait of the famed reformer, signed in black ink, “Lucretia Mott,” and dated below, “1870.” Published by Henszey and Co. of Philadelphia. Dampstaining to left side, affecting the date and first letter of the signature, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
