Description

Michael Curtiz

Distinguished Hungarian-born American film director (1886–1962) who helmed such all-time classics as Casablanca, Angels with Dirty Faces, Yankee Doodle Dandy, and White Christmas. TLS signed “Mike,” one page, 8.5 x 11, Paramount Pictures Corporation letterhead, April 5, 1957. Letter to Miss Cleo Ronson, in full: “I have been out of town looking for locations and just received your photographs and several calls. I’d like to see you sometime, but between finishing up the Helen Morgan story, meetings on several new properties here at Paramount, as well as other studios, and my own personal business that always accumulates while I’m on a picture, I just won’t have a chance. But I hope things turn out very well for you and that I’ll be able to give you a nice little bit instead of just extra work. I know you can do it.” In fine condition, with intersecting folds. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
