Two Apple Records single-sided 14″ acetates of John Lennon’s classic 1971 solo album Imagine, identified in type on the Apple Records labels to note “Side A” and “Side B,” with track listings identical to those on the released version of the album. Both have the matrix numbers of the LP, “SW-1-3379-Z7” and “SW-2-3379-Z7,” and Bell Sound logos etched near the center labels. They are also hand-etched along the perimeter, “Apple (for Capitol).” In fine condition, with scattered marks and fingerprints. Accompanied by the original cardboard sleeve which bears production notations. The large size and etched markings are highly unusual for such acetates, and as these represent one of Lennon’s greatest albums they are of the utmost desirability.
