Vintage matte-finish 9.5 x 7.5 photo of Taylor and her first husband Conrad ‘Nicky’ Hilton, Jr., enjoying champagne at Manhattan's famed El Morocco nightclub, signed and inscribed in blue ink, “To Willard, Lots of love—‘Sam’ Chipmunk Elizabeth” and “Me too, Nick.” Taylor writes below Conrad’s signature, “Howard, Sept. 5/50,” potentially identifying her Uncle Howard sitting at her right. Handsomely matted and framed to an overall size of 15.5 x 12. Ink faded but legible, otherwise fine condition. Taylor was just eighteen years old at the time of this photograph and had been married to Hilton for four months. They soon divorced, however, due to his ‘gambling, drinking, and abusive behavior.’ El Morocco was famed for its zebra-striped design motif, as seen in the background of this image, and was known as a lavish hotspot that catered to high society. As a gorgeous photograph from her brief nine-month marriage to Hilton, this is an exceptional early Taylor piece. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
