Partly-printed DS, signed “Rob’t Morris,” one page, 12.25 x 9.75, April 18, 1795. Document certifying that “William Temple Franklin is entitled to ten Shares in the entire Property of the North American Land Company.” Boldly signed at the conclusion by Morris as the company’s president and countersigned by James Marshall as secretary. Repaired to very good condition, with intersecting folds, several repaired edge chips and tears (especially to the top), toning, and a few small holes (one at the bottom of the first letter of the signature).
