Choice DS, signed “Jimi Hendrix,” one page, 8 x 11, September 8, 1969. A typed receipt on Michael Jeffrey Management, Inc., letterhead. In full: “Received from Bob Levine the sum of $2,500.00 cash from the Are You Experienced account.” In fine condition. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks. This document dates to just three weeks after Hendrix played Woodstock and he was about to begin recording demos with Billy Cox on bass and Buddy Miles on drums—the Band of Gypsys—at Record Plant in New York, where Hendrix had recorded much of Electric Ladyland. Given its incredible condition and close proximity to Woodstock, this is a truly outstanding example. Pre-certified REAL.
