Holiday, in full: “I want you to know how much I appreciate the work you did to help make my recent visit in Indianapolis both enjoyable and successful. You certainly deserve congratulations for doing such a splendid job on such short notice. And I know you feel sure that the results were worth the effort.” Second, a TLS, one page, 5 x 8, Headquarters European Theater, US Army, Office of the Commanding General, in full: “Thank you for your letter. I shall be happy to grant your request and hope my signature at the end of this note will serve as the autograph you want.” In overall fine condition, with trivial foxing and light irregular toning to the White House letterhead, which is accompanied by its original mailing envelope.
