Stage magician from Ohio (1869–1936) whose enormous traveling magic show required eight train cars to transport his props across the country. Matte-finish 6 x 8 photo of Thurston with his arms crossed, signed and inscribed in black ink, “Louis Shilling, Best wishes of Howard Thurston, March 26/14.” Matted and framed to an overall size of 15.75 x 19.75. In very good condition, with a thin tear below his chin area and trimmed edges (the left edge cropping a tip of the first letter in his signature). Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
