A substantial segment of flown heat shield from the Aurora 7 spacecraft, measuring approximately 1 x 1 x 1, and displayed on a wooden base with an engraved plaque reading: "Heat Shield from ‘Aurora Seven,’ Mercury–Atlas 7—May 24, 1962, M. Scott Carpenter." In fine condition, with trivial adhesive remnants and wear to the wooden base.
