Danish author (1873–1950) who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1944. ALS in Danish, one page on a 5.5 x 3.5 postcard, March 16, 1906. Letter asking if Walt Whitman’s Leaves of Grass had been translated into Danish and, if so, requesting a copy. In fine condition, with a couple light creases, trivial soiling, and postmark ink slightly affecting the beginning of the letter, otherwise fine condition. An excellent literary association.
