World War II German general and tank commander (1888-1954) who is remembered for the success of his Panzer units in Poland, France, and Russia. ALS signed “H. Guderian,” one page, 8.25 x 11.75, October 29, 1928. Letter to Mr. Sutherland, in part: “I am rather disappointed that you did not mention the photograph which I sent you last spring. I don’t send anything to P.O. boxes normally, I did it in your case only because you had enclosed an old German banknote. I am not willing to sign your two documents. I cannot see the sense of these documents with my signature.” Horizontal folds, scattered creasing (partially affecting the last name of the signature), and trivial toning to upper right, otherwise fine condition.
