German-American painter (1830–1902) best known for his large landscapes of the American West during the 19th century. Partial manuscript DS, one page both sides, 8.5 x 10, March 20, 1866. Concluding page of a deed of conveyance executed between Albert Bierstadt and Mary Louise Halsted, signed at the conclusion by both. In very good condition, with expected document wear, a partial edge separation to one fold, scattered staining and soiling, and a light brush to Bierstadt’s signature. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
