President Monroe grants James Ewing of St. Charles County, Missouri, a parcel of “one hundred and forty five Acres and sixteen hundredths of an Acre of the Lands directed to be sold at St. Louis.” Boldly signed at the conclusion by President Monroe and countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office Josiah Meigs. The white paper seal affixed to the lower left remains fully intact. Intersecting folds, soiling and seal remnants to edges, and expected document wear, otherwise fine condition.
