Sabu

Indian actor (1924–1963) best remembered for his roles in The Thief of Bagdad and Black Narcissus, Sabu was the first Indian to achieve great success in Hollywood. Glossy 8 x 10 photo of Sabu as Abu in the 1940 film The Thief of Bagdad, signed and inscribed in blue ink, “To Hazel, with best wishes from, Sabu.” Reverse of the photo bears an Alexander Korda Film Productions copyright stamp and an affixed film caption. Slight scattered creasing and wear to corner tips, and some irregular ink adhesion to portions of the signature and inscription, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
