Dali agrees to loan his sculpture, “Tete de Venus Oto Rhinologique, n.d.” to “The Gallery of Modern Art including the Huntington Hartford Collection” for an upcoming exhibition, with an insurance valuation of $500. Signed at the conclusion by Dali, “Salvador Dali,” who also adds the date. In fine condition, with a small tear to right edge, and staple holes and light dings to upper left corner. Sculpted in 1964, ‘Venus' Otorhinologic Head’ depicts the anatomically rearranged bust of one of Dali’s most iconic subjects. A crisp and fully signed example from the surrealist master.
