Important Italian composer (1792–1868) who became one of the seminal figures in the history of opera with such repertoire staples as The Barber of Seville and William Tell. Immensely desirable AMQS on an off-white 3.5 x 2.25 card, signed in the center, “G. Rossini, Kissingen, 12 Aut 1856.” Rossini pens five bars of unidentified music. He also adds the place and date, Kissingen, August 12, 1856, along the bottom. Affixed to a 5.75 x 4.75 mount. In fine condition. Rossini is quite uncommon in musical quotes. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
