Partly-printed DS, signed “Jared Ingersoll, Atty Genl,” one page, 8 x 13.25, August 1797. Legal document concerning an assault case. In part: “The Grand Inquiest, for the county of Bedford upon their oaths, do present that Aquilla Justice…with force and arms, &c. in and upon one John Stoner…then and there being, am assault did make, and him the said John Stoner then and there did Beat, Wound, and ill treat, and other harms to the said John Stoner.” Partial separations to toned intersecting folds and a bit of mirroring to ink, otherwise fine condition.
