Official Supreme Headquarters, Allied Expeditionary Force mailing envelope, 8.25 x 3.75, addressed in type to his wife at the Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, signed on the left side in fountain pen with a censorship signature, “Dwight D. Eisenhower.” The envelope is postmarked June 1944, bears several military base ink stamps, and a ‘Free’ notation to the upper left. In fine condition. Accompanied by a printed ‘Safe Conduct’ pass in German and English bearing two pre-printed facsimile signatures of Eisenhower, stating that if a German soldier is carrying the pass it signifies his intent to surrender.
