Uncommon glossy 10 x 8 Atlantic Records publicity photo of AC/DC, signed in black ballpoint, “Angus Young, AC/DC,” “Bon,” “Phil Rudd, AC/DC,” “Cliff Williams,” and “Malcolm Young.” In fine condition, with a few spots of silvering confined to lower right. Accompanied by a letter or provenance from the original recipient noting that the signatures were obtained after a 1978 show at the Middlesbrough Town Hall, in part: “After the set I went to the dressing room where they were dripping with sweat, I introduced myself and asked if they wanted more drinks or whatever. Angus Young asked if he could get a cup of tea, so I said ‘Hands up for tea!’ It was unanimous...We all sat around talking about the set and drinking tea, then their road manager suggested that they sign an album cover thanking me.” Although the photo is unmentioned, the consignor affirms that it was signed along with the album. Augmented by its overall scarcity and crisp cast of signatures, including the elusive Bon Scott, this photo is the most visually appealing example we have yet to offer of the original AC/DC quintet. Pre-certified REAL.
