Grey’s writing appears on five pages, listing expenses such as “stamps,” “cable to Martin,” “Dolly & Betty,” “P. P. books,” “clothes,” “movies,” and “gas.” Two additional pages are filled out in a secretarial hand. The latest entries are from September 1939; Grey died of heart failure on October 23, 1939.
