Description

The South’s great slide guitarist—the rarest Allman Brother

Founding member of the Allman Brothers Band and session musician regarded as one of the most masterful and influential guitarists in rock history (1946–1971). Scarce DS, signed “Duane Allman,” one page, 8.5 x 11, March 6, 1970. Walden Artists and Promotions power of attorney document. In part: “I, Allman Brothers Band, do hereby name, appoint and constitute Rose M. Chatfield as my true and lawful attorney in fact to execute contracts for me in my behalf for my personal appearance.” Nicely signed at the conclusion in blue ballpoint. In very good condition, with a large stain to the upper left corner and other toning and soiling to edges. Duane Allman is a rare autograph due to his early death at the age of 24, and this document—for a promoter in their hometown of Macon, Georgia—dates to the time they were recording Idlewild South, their second studio album. Pre-certified REAL.
