Original red and yellow Straight Music presented promotional poster for a multi-night series of The Clash concerts held at the Strand in London’s Lyceum Theatre throughout October 18–26, [1981], 40 x 30, signed in black ballpoint by Joe Strummer, Mick Jones, Paul Simonon, and Topper Headon. The poster depicts a falling radio tower and a train that reads “Tune in to radio Clash,” with ticket information below. In very good condition, with two vertical folds, uniform creasing, scattered soiling, and some dings, tears (the most notable causing paper loss to upper left corner), and dampstaining to edges. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks and a letter of provenance from the original recipient, in part: “The band had open access after gigs and that’s where I got the autographs thirty-four years ago. I saw all seven shows, every night opened with ‘Broadway,’ their greatest ever song, and the final encore was always ‘Garageland.’” This big and bold concert poster remains visually impressive and boasts a full set of sharp signatures from the original lineup. Pre-certified REAL.
