Description

Douglas Bader

British pilot (1910–1982) who lost both his legs in 1931 but continued to fly in WWII with the use of artificial limbs. Two items: a glossy 8.5 x 6.5 photo of Bader beside his plane, signed in fountain pen, “Douglas Bader, London, 22/10/62”; and ink and ballpoint signatures of Douglas Bader and Paddy Barthropp on an off-white 8.5 x 2.75 slip. A central crease to the signed photo, otherwise overall fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
