Unsigned handwritten working lyrics to Madonna’s song ‘Shame,’ one page on a lined 7.5 x 10.5 sheet, no date but circa 1992. Early draft for the unreleased song originally intended for her 1992 Erotica album but not included. In part: “Why you wanna waste your life / It’s a shame / Anyone can learn to fly / Keep your head up / Keep your head held high / Anyone can learn to soar / Get yourself up / You deserve more.” Madonna heavily edited the draft throughout, striking through several words and entire verses. In fine condition. ‘Shame’ went unreleased until it was leaked in its entirety online in 2014, nearly two decades after it was recorded. A marvelous piece demonstrating Madonna’s creative process while working on her most controversial album. Pre-certified REAL.
