Description

Natalie Wood

ALS signed “Natalie,” one page both sides on a 5 x 4 monogrammed personal stationery card, July 3, 1965. Letter to actress Ruth Gordon Kanin. In part: “We wish we would’ve been able to see you on our way back from Caracas…instead of going to New York we took a boat from Miami to the Bahamas and had a wonderful vacation there. I caught 15 barracudas! Then we had to get back to do all that ‘Great Race’ opening…Ladi has to go back to Caracas for a while & he’s leaving Tuesday, & then I’ll join him there in a couple of weeks for my birthday.” In fine condition, with staple holes to the front of the card. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope addressed in Wood’s hand, incorporating her full name, “Natalie Wood,” in the return address on the flap. This was written during her brief engagement to Ladislav Blatnik, who lived in Caracas, and her film The Great Race was soon to premiere. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
