A .5 x .5 swatch of flown Kapton foil removed from the Apollo 11 Command Module Columbia’s thermal protection subsystem, removed after splashdown by O. W. Nasse, who was assigned to the Apollo 11 post landing and safety recovery team. Foil is affixed to an 8.5 x 11 informational letter of authenticity from Ken Havekotte, signed in black felt tip, “Buzz Aldrin, Apollo XI LMP.” In very fine condition. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from Zarelli Space Authentication.
