Elizabeth Craven

Author, playwright, traveler, and socialite, perhaps best known for her travelogues (1750–1828). Manuscript DS, one page, 7.5 x 4.5, January 23, 1768. A financial document, in part: “Received from the Right Honorable Countess Temple the Sum of Five Hundred Pounds, being the legacy bequeathed to her in trust for me under the last will of the Right Hon’ble Henrietta Countess Dowager of Suffolk.” Affixed to a slightly larger sheet. In fine condition, with central vertical and horizontal folds and a bit of paper loss to edges. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
