Original photocopied typed lyrics to “‘Julia’” used during the recording of the Beatles’ self-titled 1968 White Album, one page, 10 x 9.25, no date. John Lennon added lyrics to two different lines prior to the sheet being copied, including: “calls me” and “touch me.” In fine condition, with scattered creasing. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks. Written by John during the Beatles’ 1968 visit to Rishikesh, the song’s tender lyrics reference both his future wife, Yoko Ono, and his mother, Julia Lennon, who tragically passed when John was seventeen. This photocopy comes from the personal collection of Beatles road manager Mal Evans, a close friend of the band who also appeared in films like Help! and A Hard Day’s Night.
