Description

J. Franklin Bell

General who served as chief of staff of the US Army from 1906 to 1910, and participated in the Indian Wars, Philippine-American War, and World War I (1856–1919). Matte-finish 3 x 4.5 photo, affixed to a 6.75 x 8.75 mount, signed on the mount in black ink, “J. F. Bell,” and inscribed in another hand, “For Eliza, with love.” Light foxing and trimmed edges to the mount, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
