Four items: A hardcover copy of Bogart’s eulogy delivered by John Huston at his funeral, 5 x 7, with a printed image of an artist’s rendition of Bogart’s beloved sailboat Santana; two Western Union telegrams sent to Lauren Bacall after Bogart’s death, one sent by John A. Bogart, and the other sent by Guy Bogart. Guy’s telegram reads, in part: “On behalf of our family and the Holland Society we join you and the nation in grief at the passing of Humphrey.” The Holland Society of New York was a group formed by descendants of Dutch settlers of New Netherlands, of which the Bogarts were some of the first; and an envelope mailing panel, sent to Guy Bogart, with Bacall’s return address printed in the upper left, as “Mrs. H. Bogart,” done in another hand. In fine condition.
