Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Virginia (1726 -1791). Harrison was the father of President William Henry Harrison and great-grandfather of President Benjamin Harrison. Partial partly-printed DS, signed “Benj. Harrison,” one page, 7 x 6, March 18, 1784. The conclusion of a legal document, signed at the conclusion by Harrison as governor of Virginia. The paper seal affixed to the lower left remains intact. Partial separations to intersecting folds (one vertical fold passing through a single letter of the signature), brittle and heavy uniform toning, and chipping to edges, otherwise very good condition.
