In full: “I have had the pleasure of receiving your favor of the 15, informing me of my election as an honorary member of the University Institute. I take an early opportunity to thank the society for this testimony of their regard, and to signify my acceptance of the honor they have conferred upon me.” Addressed in Longfellow’s hand on the reverse of the second integral page. In very good condition, with intersecting folds (one vertical fold passing through a single letter of the signature), small edge separations, and overall wrinkling. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
