Two Civil War–dated LSs, both signed “Jas. A. Mulligan,” each one page but written on opposing sides of a single 7.75 x 12 lightly lined sheet, November 1863. The first, November 26, to Dick Scott of the Irish Brigade, in part: “I hope the Colonel has been able to detail you as promised.” The second, November 29, to Col. James Quirk of the Irish Brigade, in part: “I have received the Muster Rolls…I return to you, the Company Commanders having failed to sign the Certificate. You will please cause this omission to be corrected.” In overall fine condition, with a crease to one corner. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
