Partly-printed DS, signed “Victoria R,” one page, 15.5 x 11.5, July 29, 1854. Queen Victoria appoints Lumley Graham as a captain in “Our Forty-third Regiment of Foot,” advising him to keep the soldiers under his command “in good Order and Discipline.” The blue seal affixed to the upper left remains fully intact. Handsomely double-matted and framed with an engraved portrait to an overall size of 30 x 19. In fine condition, with noticeable intersecting storage folds and expected document wear. Oversized.
