James Monroe

Partly-printed vellum DS as president, one page, 15.25 x 9.75, April 10, 1824. President Monroe grants Newton Coffey of Montgomery County, Illinois, a parcel of land “in the District of Edwardsville and State of Illinois containing Eighty Acres.” Signed at the conclusion by President Monroe and countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office George Graham. The white paper seal affixed to the lower left remains clean and fully intact. Intersecting folds (two vertical folds passing through letters of the signature), and scattered staining and soiling, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA.
