Original hand-inked single-panel comic, 8.5 x 10, signed in the lower right corner by the artist, “Joe Martin, 8-13-07.” The comic shows an astronaut emerging from the mission command restroom while his spaceship takes off in the background, and is captioned in the upper left: “Close But No Cigar Award, Almost the first manned space flight.” The seats and shaded portions are embellished with affixed crosshatch patterns.
