American character actor (1890-1977) best remembered for playing the lead in the first werewolf movie, the Universal Pictures classic Werewolf of London. Handsome vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “John Stockton Halsted, Very sincerely, Henry Hull, 1952.” Blindstamped in the lower right by photographer Ben Pinchot of New York, with an additional photographer’s inkstamp on reverse. In fine condition, with one small crease to Hull’s chin, small creases at corners, and some light scattered surface impressions. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
