Russian violinist (1891–1967), who began his virtuosic career as a child and played Carnegie Hall at age 17. His recording career spanned six decades, and in 1943 his record sales exceeded two million. Glossy 8 x 10 photo, signed and inscribed in black fountain pen, “To Mildred Joppelsreoder, with best wishes from Mischa Elman, Sep 22, 1946.” In fine condition, with minor creasing to top left corner, chipping to finish along lower edge, and some brushing to signature and inscription.
