Rare Civil War-era hand-addressed and free-franked mailing envelope, 5.5 x 3, addressed in McClellan’s hand to “Brig Genl Stewart Van Vliet, Chief Qtr Mr, Army Potomac,” franked in the upper right, “Geo. B. McClellan.” A horizontal fold, scattered creases, and tiny tear to upper left corner, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
