Uncommon handwritten letter from “Genl. Jackson”

Third-person ALS, signed within the text, one page, 7.75 x 4, January 2, 1823. In full: “Genl. Jackson with compliments to Mr. King informs him that he cannot attend him today but will the first good morning, Sunday excepted.” Affixed to a same-size sheet. Matted and framed with an engraved portrait to an overall size of 20.75 x 15.75. In very good condition, with two vertical folds and scattered soiling. After a 25-year-long absence, Jackson would return to the Senate in March 1823 and soon lose the 1824 presidential election. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA.
