Brown of Cambridge, Massachusetts. In part: “Your enclosed photograph was received several days ago but I have not been able to answer it soon. I have had a severe attack and am still suffering. I now write in pain. I think the likeness a good one but in execution the artistic skill is not good.” In fine condition, with intersecting folds (one through a single letter of signature), partial separation to hinge, and a couple light creases.
