Scarce ANS signed with his distinctive ‘butterfly’ signature, one page, 7 x 4.5, blindstamped Hogarth Club letterhead, no date but circa 1886. In full: “Please show Mr. McNab the gallery. Arrangement in Brown & Gold.” Central vertical and horizontal folds and scattered creases, otherwise fine condition. Whistler held an exhibition under the title ‘Arrangement in Brown and Gold’ in May 1886, displaying 75 works including 48 watercolors. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
