South Korean military leader (1917–1979) who seized power in a 1961 coup d’etat; he was assassinated by the director of his own security force. Fountain pen signature of Park Chung-hee on an off-white 8 x 4 card bearing an affixed postage stamp, dated July 4, 1967. Removably matted in corner mounts with a portrait to an overall size of 8.25 x 11.75. In fine condition. Park Chung-hee was elected as president of South Korea in 1963 as the candidate of the newly created Democratic Republican Party, narrowly defeating the incumbent Yun Bo-seon.
