Description

Herbert Hoover

TLS, one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, January 4, 1934. Letter to Herman Bernstein of the Hotel Peter Stuyvesant. In part: “I doubt if I shall like Joslin’s book, but these writing folks must write something I suppose. Some day the American people will awake to the fact that this depression ended the world over in the summer of 1932 and that all that has happened since has retarded recovery in the United States. In the meantime they had better concern themselves lest they lose the Bill of Rights.” In fine condition. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
