O’Connor for $200, July 7, 1988, and endorsed on the reverse, “Hugh O’Connor, 0647-271485, for Deposit Only.” In fine condition. Carroll O’Connor (1924–2001) is best remembered for his classic TV role as Archie Bunker; his son Hugh (1962–1995) was also a television actor but had become addicted to drugs after defeating Hodgkin's lymphoma as a teen. He committed suicide after deciding he would never be able to conquer the addiction. Carroll O’Connor pursued the drug dealer via legal means in an attempt to bring him to justice; although his lawsuit fell through, it resulted in new legislation designed to hold drug dealers liable for anyone injured through their actions.
