Description

Archibald Butt

American military officer (born 1865) who served as an influential aide to Presidents Roosevelt and Taft before perishing during the sinking of the Titanic in 1912. Bank check, 7.5 x 3, filled out in another hand and made payable to Archibald W. Butt for $21.28, May 18, 1906, endorsed on the reverse by Butt, “A. W. Butt.” In fine condition, with expected cancellation cuts and holes. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
