Description

“We came in peace for all mankind”

Rare and extraordinary glossy 7.75 x 9.75 photo of the famous lunar plaque left behind on the moon’s surface, reading, “Here men from the planet Earth first set foot upon the Moon / July 1969 A. D. / We came in peace for all mankind,” signed in black felt tip by Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, Michael Collins, and Richard Nixon. In fine condition, with an unobtrusive irregular surface spot at the top edge. An amazing piece with the rarely seen combination of the full Apollo 11 crew as well as the president of the United States, and one of the most iconic images of the Apollo era.
