Intersecting folds, slight show-through from address panel to reverse, and paper loss to top and bottom from seal removal, otherwise fine condition. Santerre is reported to have been the Revolutionary commander who escorted Louis XVI to the guillotine, however accounts differ as to whether he treated the doomed king with respect or contempt.
